Saved.

He is “the way, the truth and the life.”

— John 14:6

How we were saved.

Our community has found freedom. That began for all of us in a prayer like the one below. We have found relief in our Savior and Messiah Jesus Christ, in some cases immediately. In other cases, the deliverance process has been more gradual as we walk with and follow Jesus by His Holy Spirit and The New Testament. We have found that every aspect of our process has been for a reason, after we have prayed the below prayer verbally. When we first opted to take this on, most of us were unsure this path was our answer and we were afraid, with little faith. Some of us kept kept our decision to ourselves at first and asked Jesus if He was real to reveal Himself to us. Thankfully for us, all that was and is needed is "a mustard seed of faith" and His grace provides the rest. We now have the overwhelming love of being connected to our Creator. Nothing is missing now. We are whole. There is no more striving for self-love, as we now feel how loved we are. This love is our birthright. It is nothing we have to pay for or work at. It does not matter what one has done before this moment. We do have free will though, and Jesus can only come into one’s heart if they call on Him. That is what the below prayer is designed to do.

Prayer.

Dear God,

I need You. I am humbly calling out to You. I confess my sins and am tired of doing things my way. Help me to start doing things Your way. I invite You Jesus, into my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. Please fill the emptiness in me with Your Holy Spirit and make me whole. Lord, I know You suffered and died to save me. Help me to walk with and trust in You, as well as understand Your grace and mercy. Teach me how to pray to You and walk with You.

Thank You, Lord.
Amen.

Jesus.

It turns out He is always with you. I took this picture before I knew Him, but not before someone was praying for me. The sky was so blood red outside my window in southern California that night, I had to capture it. At the time the poles and wires were a hindrance to the photo and I hadn’t seen the cross they had made. Much like this photo He will get in your way until you can see Him. I can’t tell you now how glad I am about Him doing that. It wasn’t until I was saved and looking back on life through pictures that I’d seen what I had missed. - Danna

Did Jesus come into your heart today? We would love to hear about it!

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

— Romans 10:9-10 KJV
